Joanne Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Hi guys, I'm trying to locate a keyboard for a Very PC G2 Ultrabook S. It is plasti-welded to the palm rest so would need the whole shebang. After contacting Very PC support I have been told the laptops are EOL and they don't have parts. Does anyone know the model of the chassis so I can trawl eBay and whatnot? They look like this....
Blue_Cookeh Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Have you got some part numbers on the bottom of that machine? Usually along with the serial numbers. VeryPC aren't an OEM so you can usually find *something* around if you have the original number.
Joanne Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 So there is one sticker which has U931, GA1, 6020006 - those are on the bottom. Ahhhh on the bit I need - 7306931001015CM0771.... I'll google that now. I should have known to check for that!! Also kinda hoping someone has a broken one that might want to sell the part
Joanne Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 darn, returns nothing. Ebay shows me some lovely butterfly wallpaper!!
Norphy Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 It's probably a rebadged Clevo, is there a number that looks something similar to WU550EU?
Joanne Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 This number is on the keyboard cable 6411001840336140778 but returns no hits on google....
Norphy Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Are there any stickers on the bottom of the laptop itself? Can you provide a picture?

TwistedHelixis Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 How old is the laptop? I believe there is a legal requirement for a company to stock / keep parts for x number of years, 6 or 7 years, but I could be way off.
Joanne Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 1 year old. 3 year warranty.... but this isn't a warranty issue. It's had a spill.

smarties11 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Try PC Specialist - the VeryPC Ultrabook chassis is the same as the PC Specialist Lafite model 1
Joanne Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 E-mailed them. Hopefully they are a Lancashire CC registered supplier!
PeterW Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 https://www.fortunetechnology.com/spares/7873/ (PC Sepcialist parts page for that model) 1
southhamster Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Stone computers? They supply clevo laptops so might have parts available. We've used laptops and spares. Co.uk who've been pretty good. 1
