Quick letter fields not substituted

We're on V 7.99 build 5 db version 3.61.414

When clicking quick letter in student view I get the following

Name of Student: Form :

======================

I'm assuming it shoudl have replaced the placeholders with real data. I'm running as administrator and using office 2003.

 

Any ideas?

Just a few questions.

Have you got macros enabled for staff and set to medium level?

Have you replaced the quickletter with your own headed paper?

Have you got a .doc or a .rtf as your quickletter?

It will be down to macro security in Word. Had the same problem on 2 machines this morning.

It was macros! I'd forgotten that it no longer asked you if you wanted to run the macros but just blocked them outright!

 

Setting it to medium cured it.

 

Now is there anyway to set the security level via gpos/scritps or similar so all staff can run macros without me having to visit every PC?

 

Also back to SIMS, the

field isn't replaced. Can we pull FORM information? Where can I find out more?

I 've checked and we don't support

or in QuickLetter. Don't forget that all subsitutions work in the report generator and that if they are called up from the student page they only print for that student.
