Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - slow to install....

Currently most of our student PC's are stuck at installing update 5 of 6.

 

I believe it's the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool that is taking ages to install.

 

Anyone else seen this behaviour?

Been like that for years here, I exclude it these days. I believe the slowness is because it also does a full scan on install but I might be wrong...

I do the same as @AJWhite1970, but disable MRT through the registry.

 

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
