O365 in Outlook

Hi Guys,

 

We have an issue with o365 in outlook that has only recently started in the last month or so and I feel like beating my head against the wall trying to solve the issue.

 

We have o365 configured in Outlook 2016 and all is well it works a treat including calendar etc, but just recently it can be working fine then all of a sudden it will prompt for credentials for no apparent reason ??? you can enter your credentials and some time later it might pop up again or it might not.

 

I have tried removing the details in credentials manager (but to no avail even though the logon password may not have been changed)

I have re-installed the application and on one PC it might come back and the other it might not ??

Deleted the users profile and started again and once again it might re occur it might not

 

It just seems so random with no obvious reason as to why it's happening, if anyone can help resolve this issue I will be forever in your debt.

What filtering / firewall solution are you using? We kinda had the same issue and had to allow Exchange online IPs to our smoothwall.

Were using Forcepoint AKA Websense.

There's a rule in the bypass bit to allow office365 access from what I have seen ( I didn't set ours up it was in place when I started here)

 

On ours we also have the massive list of exclusions in place that ms provide
