nicholab Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 How do you deploy creative cloud with SCCM 1702? I have tried following the instruction from Adobe by they seem to be using a different version of SCCM or miss importation steps. I have created the MSI and I have the installer for the licence files I take it I have to run this separately?
Scrambles Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Whilst not CC, I remember that we did have issues as we installed CS6 via SCCM. Instead, we just included it on our main image.
Arthur Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 I have created the MSI and I have the installer for the licence files I take it I have to run this separately? I create separate MSIs for each Creative Cloud app with the CCP. The licenses are included with each MSI. How do you deploy creative cloud with SCCM 1702? The same way as any other MSI. I haven't had any issues with SCCM deployment myself.
nicholab Posted August 10, 2017 Author Posted August 10, 2017 (edited) I installed the main created msi but must have missed creating the licence. How did you create the program or package as adobe have you building a package with two programs in it? Edited August 10, 2017 by nicholab
Ric_ Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 I haven't used this myself but I happened to get an email from Adobe the other day. Apparently, there's a thing called 'Packager' which I guess is the CCP that @Arthur mentioned. A little more detail at https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/package/help/creative-cloud-packager.html Once you've used that to make your MSIs, you should be able to deploy as normal through SCCM. There also looks to be loads of other information on the Adobe site about managing licenses and wotnot that may be of use to you.
Arthur Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 How did you create the program or package as adobe have you building a package with two programs in it? Ignore the Setup.exe file in the 'Build' folder. Create a new application in SCCM and then select the MSI that the Creative Cloud Packager has created. Go through the wizard and SCCM will automatically work out what the install/uninstall commands are along with the detection method. The packages that I create with the CCP already contain the license details so I don't bother creating a separate license package.
mukz Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 @Arthur have you ever thought about doing Consultancy for people? You are a godsend on here when it comes to anything SCCM and applications amongst various other things! 1
Arthur Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 (edited) have you ever thought about doing consultancy for people? I hadn't until you mentioned it, but now that you have maybe I should. Edited August 11, 2017 by Arthur 1
