Hi Edugeeks,

I'm having an Issue with a printer and was wondering if any of you have come across it.

The printer in question is a Kyocera 1128 MFP.

Issue: Screen displays the following error:

Load Paper in MP Tray

A4 Colour

Problem:

The printer is a mono printer, doesn't print in colour.

I cannot seem to get it to recognise any other tray now, has 2 normal trays and 1 MP Tray.

I've set the default tray to be cassette one on the printer as well as the server and online portal to see if it would solve the issue but nothing.

The screen displays an option underneath the error which says [Paper] when I press the button it gives me the 3 trays. When I try to select any other tray it tells me "Cannot Change"

Things I've tried.

Added paper to all trays including MP tray.

Tried to print another document.

Turned it off and on again :)

Cleared all jobs going to it.

Unplugged power and network.

Re-configured it through our print server (delete the printer and re-added)

Called Kyocera support (They didn't believe me that I had restarted it and unplugged the network cable since it was still asking for paper lol)

I have a gut feeling I'm missing something.

Any suggestions would be welcome and appreciated.

I'd say that it's requesting A4 "coloured" paper. It's probably a print driver setting such as "paper type" or similar.

Mate you're a star!

I'm so stupid.

All I did was - Change the paper source from plain to colour and it started working again. Thanks!
