[ms office - 2016] Missing the Office Update button

So, it turns out we are missing the Office update button which is supposed to be under File > Account.

 

Is this the case with VL Office products? If so, is there a way to get office updates on machines? It would seem we are fairly behind with this.

It's click-to-run that has Update under file > account. VLK versions of office get updates from windows updates

Oh, well something isnt quite working then. My machine isnt set to look at our WSUS and its got creators update on it but no office updates. We are still on 16.0.4266.1001.

Ah they are coming down now!

 

I unticked "give me updates for other microsoft products when i update windows" and added microsoft.com to the list of compatiability sites. Then restarted the machine and theyve started to come down.

You have also remembered to add that version to your WSUS list so it knows to get them and offer them (just checking but it has been missed before )
