Trying to wrap my head around this, (not easy when a joiner is fitting a new door to my office)

I've a cheap USB mifare reader (M301)

It reads the code like so into notepad :- (example)

2981728827

But the Paxton reader reads it as :-

999471537

I've worked out that Paxton is taking the hex of 2981728827 (which is B1 B9 92 3B) "reversing" it to 3B 92 B9 B1 then converting this to decimal (which comes out as 999471537)

Any clues as to why it does this ? I suspect it's down to the cheap USB reader as the PAXton reader matches up with the card ID

Thanks all, just had me baffled - I'm sure that this reader has read the cards right in the past too, as I had the correct number in for the one I was testing and I can't remember doing anything different

I'll write something when I batch import into Paxton, I was just curious as to what was going on when I was manually adding them

Shame the Paxton reader itself only works for the net2 software

@IrritableTech - sounds interesting - I'm always up for DIY :)
