Any help on this would be very much appreciated because I seem to be bashing my head against a wall over this http://awscdn.cdngeek.com/images/smilies/confused.png

I have test stations that currently have UE-V enabled and only certain settings seem to be syncing. It is writing files back to the settings share but doesn't seem to be applying any of the changes made for some of the custom templates. I have tried generating my own templates and I have also tried using one from a blog I have seen recommended but nothing has worked so far.

I am hoping to get UE-V working for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Reader 11 and VLC.

We are using Mandatory Profiles that are specified within the users AD account and have UE-V set by GPO for computer configuration only - I have also tested using roaming profiles and on separate machines with no results.

We have a task that applies the ApplySettingsTemplateCatalog.exe upon log on/off.

The default Microsoft templates are copied to the template catalogue.

Current GPO's:

Enable UEV - Enabled

First use notification - disabled

Settings storage path - enabled - \\fileshare\uevsettings$

Settings template catalogue path - enabled with replace default microsoft templates - \\fileshare\uevcatalogue$

i could never get UEV settings to work from the network either with the GPOset, although didn't try too hard. I have a power shell script that runs to add the UEV default templates that are missing in 1607 and then adds my custom templates in as well. I have one for Google Chrome deployed and is working well.

Make sure you make the policy Prevent the following directories from roaming with the profile to not configured. I think this was the policy screwing up our UE-V deployment, which is now working very happily.
