IT Technician – Fulham, West London – *URGENT*

£21,000-£23,500 dependent on experience – Permanent, Full Time

Our client, an outstanding Academy School in the Fulham area, requires a motivated and well qualified IT Technician to join their existing team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Network Manager, ensuring the postholder is able to gain valuable experience in order to develop their skills further.

 

As the IT Technician, you will be the first point of contact for all day to day users providing support both on-site and via helpdesk. You will be responsible for providing high quality 1st/2nd line support, hardware/software technical support, setting up and supporting AV/IT/peripherals, resolving basic network faults and providing routine maintenance of equipment and applications.

 

Responsibilities;

· 1st, 2nd line support on-site and remotely

· Set up, maintain and resolve issues with hardware, software and AV equipment

· Accurately log and documents service requests on the IT Helpdesk

· Install and configure desktops, maintenance of MFD’s / Peripherals

· Assist the Network Manager/Contractors with emergency or scheduled network maintenance

 

Requirements;

· Experience supporting/maintaining Windows 7/10, Server 2003/2008/2012

· Use of and supported WI-FI technologies

· Experience using Microsoft Office Suites

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.

· A willingness to learn and progress

 

Desirable;

· Previously worked within the education sector

· Knowledge of SIMS or similar MIS system

· Use of and supported Apple Mac computers

· Experience of supporting and maintaining network printers

· Experience in Windows/Mac OS deployment solutions (WDS, Deploy studio)

· A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
