Hi.

More of a How Do You Do It question, but just wondering how it's done on SIMS.

We're (finally) getting things like Detentions into SIMS for September, along with other areas that we have had our own systems for, but the question is how we handle the internal exclusion bit. Schools call it different things, we call it Safety Net where a student maybe pulled out of lessons and placed in this area for a few periods, lesson, whatever. Not excluded from School as such, just put somewhere else for 1:1, time-out, etc but in school. Not necessarily a punishment area, just if the student needs removing from normal school circulation for whatever reason.

How can we do this in SIMS, and ideally have them on a timetable/register within SIMS once allocated to that area for a day, period, whatever?

TIA

alternative curriculum perhaps?

It'll remove them from their normal register and put them on a special register.

A bit laborious adding and removing them from it but will do the job.
