[sims] Nova T4

Morning all,

 

Please don't shoot a messenger but could anyone send me the satellite installation files for NovaT4? Our Timetabler works in NovaT4 whilst I work alongside him in NovaT6 (I'm taking over from next year I think). He has had a new laptop and has asked me if I can put T4 on there for him.

 

Our SIMS server doesn't have the files any more (that I can see).

 

Hopefully someone here does.

Look for a folder called SNOVA of the Sims server, it might be there. You can copy & paste it to the laptop and it will work. You will also need the licence.dat file to activate a new install. If you have annual maintenance for SIMS then Capita/yoursupport provider will send this file across (less than 30mb) its just a simple run and click/click install. If your using another MIS but were still using T6 for TT then your will need to get your cheque book out :-(

Bear in mind it won't run on 64 bit Windows! I got it working recently (to check some historic data) on our print server which is one of the only remaining 32 bit machines left here. Didn't need to install it that way so just copied the files over into a local directory and also copied the SNOVA folder.

Ohh, that's a bummer. It's a 64 bit laptop.

If using Windows 7, XP mode may be an option. Otherwise you're looking at a VM tacked on to that machine or RDP to a suitable host.
