Smart UF75W Projector and HDCP Playback

hi all.

 

I've just come accross a number of rooms where the smart projector will not display copy protected content.

This appears to be a newish thing as we tested all the rooms 6 months ago and where fine.

 

they are running via hdmi, so from bluray player into a extron mps409 switch and then out to smart projector.

also from pc playing for example an amazon prime video, dvi into mps 409 and out via hdmi into projector

 

 

any ideas? firmware has not been upgraded and no other changes to the system has been undertaken.

Sounds like HDCP has suddenly kicked in! I take it the blu-ray still doesn't output if you bypass the mps?

Correct, direct link from bluray to 'smart' projector and still blocking it.

Will check the settings in the menu later and see if anything has 'reset' itself.

 

I really, really dislike smart projectors. And smart boards.
