Hi folks,

I've come across this closed thread, but it doesn't answer my question unfortunately http://www.edugeek.net/forums/educational-software/374-multimedia-science-school-11-16-v2-0-a.html

I have Multimedia Science School v2, and would like to be able to run it from the network, either in terms of network deploying it, or running from a share.

The manual says there's a "Server Only" install, but doesn't give any details of how to do it, nor is it available from the install menu.

I can't find the relevant switch to perform a silent local install for the SETUP.EXE, although I'm wondering if it's possible because of the license key.

Anyone had any luck with the above?

Thanks

Shockwave player? That's a blast from the past! Could it be that it needs a certain version?

Edit: Ah, ok, I see we posted at the same time, but it's still worth while testing different versions to rule it out as your problem, unless ofcourse you have it running on a different version of Windows fine with the lasted one.

Yep, runs absolutely fine on Win 7 with this particular version of Shockwave.

The Win 10 issues appears to run deeper as it seemed to use some embedded version of Mozilla (!) which crashes when any content is browsed.

Out of 30 apps we're trying to move over to Win 10, this is the second that is incompatible. Both are around 10 years old.

Out of interest... Windows 7 32-Bit to Windows 10 64-Bit?

I found quite a few applications that didn't want to work when moving to Windows 7 64-Bit, though applications running on Windows 7 64-Bit to Windows 10 were fine.

Yes, exactly that. Not tried either of these on Win 7 64 bit.

One Head of Department has confirmed that one of the apps can be dispensed with. Just about to break the bad news to the other Head of Department...
