[ipad] Mini - Full Reset

I have an iPad mini that I want to factory restore with a view to selling or or sending off to Mazuma. Am I best just restoring it to factory default or do I need to do anything else?

 

I have read in the past second hand ones having issues as they were still registered to the previous iCloud account, any thoughts on this?

Yeah you have to turn off Find my iPad in iCloud if I recall then anyone can use it when its reset.

If you make sure it's still connected to the internet, then go to settings-general-reset and then erase all content and settings it will ask you a couple of times to confirm and then to enter your iCloud password. This will then contact apple servers to remove iCloud and the find my phone option from the device. Once it gets round to the Hello screen, everything is reset and ready for sale.
