I have a odd problem in that Kahoot doesn't work on Google Chrome if users are using logged into Chrome with their School Google Apps account. It just sites there with the progress circle spinning endlessly.

At the moment the simple work around is to simply use another browser, or log out of Chrome (both of which work), but I'd like to know why Kahoot doesn't work when logged it.

Anyone have any ideas?

No, not yet. I have a call logged with Google at the moment, but have only been offered some basic troubleshooting so far.

Hi

It was a pleasure working with you today. This is a recap email about our phone conversation.

After investigating your issue wherein a teacher is unable to access Kahoot whenever he uses his G suite account, I have found no similar cases that could help us.

So, as basic troubleshooting, please have the teacher do the following and see if they solve his issue:

1. Clear cache and cookies of Chrome. (see https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/2392709?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform=Desktop)

2. If he hasn't yet, try to use another computer and see if exists there as well.

3. Is this happening on his account only? Try other accounts.

We haven't talked about this but I was wondering if the web page was just giving him the loop, did it ever stop and give him an error message? If it did, can we ask for a screenshot of the error? Error messages will help us likely on identifying the cause.

More information can be found on this article:

'Fix "Aw, Snap"! page crashes and other page loading errors'

https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95669?hl=en-GB&ref_topic=3097245

I'll leave this case open for a while or until you confirm we could close it. If you have concerns about this case, just reply to this email and I’ll reach out to you as soon as I can.

Sincerely,

JOSEPH LORENZ

Take a look at what extensions are installed/force-installed in Chrome and try disabling them. You can also go to "Content Scripts" on the Sources tab in Chrome's developer tools to see specific extensions modifying the page. I think I remember about a month ago a student had issues creating Kahoots and it was caused by an extension from Impero.

Good afternoon all,

We've changed the way our extension works which is likely to impact this, if it is caused by the extension; 1.1.5 is now available. Please contact support for the Chrome store ID or search for it (looking in the properties for version number).

Thanks

Mic

Hi @Mic_Impero are users who are currently out of support able to access this updated Chromebook extension? Will it work with 6.0.76? Which is the version I have on the PCs and Server.

Currently I have versions 6.0.77 of both the Application and the Extension on my Chromebooks, and in truth, I've been having many issues with it.
