Show My Homework IE11 issue

Hi All,

 

We are having issues with Show my homework where by that if you go to showmyhomework.co.uk/login it comes up with the error 'Your browser is not supported'.

 

I spoke to SMHW and they basically said that its not their end so not their problem but not that wording exactly.

 

It was working at the end of last term.

 

It still works on Chrome and firefox

 

any ideas?

Does it make any difference if you add 'Show My Homework' to your list of Compatibility Mode websites?

Makes no difference, Found something online about completely uninstalling IE 11 and previous versions.

 

So will give that a go and report back.

done that, no luck.

 

Tired uninstalling and reinstalling no luck either.

We've been having problems with SMH login today via IE 11. Last time we had these symptoms it was related to a broken Office365 authentication integration setup on their end.

Yep still no luck.

We dont use O365.

 

We have had reports from other websites coming up with the out of date browser message so I dont think it is a SMHW issue!

On further investigation we have found that in the Developer tools there is a 'User agent string'

 

This is causing the issues as it is set to IE7 and not IE11.

 

Found this way of changing it via local policies but going to test it on the network group policies.
