What search engine do you use primaries?

Curious to know what search engine you use at your primary/ies?

DH tried setting all the computers to use Kiddle - but the results are too limited for many things

We use Bing , Safe seach is enabled by default, without having to do any dns/ssl changes

Chrome and I would have thought Bing can be done with Group Policy from the server or online admin panel, ie Google apps for ed

I have both Google UK and Bing UK open as tabs on browser startup both with safe search and filtering.

Do any of you get the odd image slipping through the net on Google Image Search for example?

We tend to use Google, all internet use is during lessons and (hopefully) supervised. Filtered and safe search enabled through LgFL.

 

I did think of Bing a while ago when the whole SSL thing with Google came out, but was put off by the home screen it appeared to be far too distracting to me...

 

I like the simplictiy of Google, always have even for personal use.

 

 

Versus...

 

 

No-brainer for me really!

 

Edit: We've never had anything really bad come through image-wise as far as I know.... But nothing is 100% safe.

When you type in things it considers rude, it comes straight back with "oops, try again"

 

If you search a term which might bring back sketchy results (girls), all the results seem harmless, e.g. girls clothes, science clubs for girls etc

 

Definitely the best we've used. It runs the Google search engine in the background, so actually works!
