DCUK6 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Hi All, We are looking for a classroom management tool that i can also use to monitor and control machines. Ive used AB tutor but the only way to access logs or set policies is to go round and turn the machines on and manually set the policies when they appear. V9 is supposed to fix this but not due until late this year. Ive also used Impero, very good but quite costly. Im looking around and trying to find other products that can also do this so i can get a comparison on price. Lanschool looks a cross between italc and ab tutor. Any recommendations? Thanks.
LukeC Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 If ive understod you correctly Netsupport DNA / School can do this. 1
Matt_NetSupport Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Hi DCUK6, Firstly, I do work for NetSupport (like to make that clear at the start of a post)... LukeC is right NetSupport DNA would provide you with Classroom Management (NetSupport School) and many other management tools for Safeguarding, Power Management, Inventory, USB Security, Software Distribution, Internet and Application Metering and restrictions, Reporting, Alerting, Acceptable Usage Policies and much more. NetSupport DNA - IT Asset Management PM me and I can give you a very competitive price. Matt
LanSchoolUK_Adam Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Hi DCUK6, LanSchool can certainly do everything you have outlined here - server-side logging has been a core part of our solution for about six months now, and everything else you have mentioned is fairly standard. Have dropped you a PM with further details to arrange a demo + competitive quote Regards, ~ Adam
DCUK6 Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 Many thanks both for the info. Its good to see companies implementing server logging etc. It used to drive me nuts having to turn every computer the student may have been on to get the logs. Can i get in touch after the holiday? Can then have a proper chat, ive got a 2 1/2 hour drive in 15 mins.
