Hi all,

I have a wiki server which is running on Apache Tomcat 7.0. I have inherited this setup so I don't know a lot about how it works. Recently the self assigned certificate has stopped working in Google Chrome and I get NET:ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID. Apparently this is due to a change in Chrome not accepting self assigned certificates.

I have tried to create a new certificate in Powershell but the commands I have found online don't seem to work. Does anyone have a link or know how to setup a new certificate for this server which will work within Tomcat?

Thanks

Ok I have totally drawn a blank here. As its an internal server, I am going to make it unsecured and run in http protocol instead. Does anyone know how I can do that?

Thanks

I haven't used Tomcat in a few years, but if my memory is correct you should be able to change the settings in server.xml (take a back-up in case you break something). If you haven't got a copy already I'd recommend installing Notepad++ and using that to edit the file as the syntax highlighting makes reading the code much easier. Once you have made the changes you'll need to restart the Tomcat services to apply them.
