Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust with Manchester City Council as co-sponsor. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and is now amongst the most popular schools in the city, showing significant academic improvement, a rapidly expanding student population and growing sixth form provision. Rated by Ofsted in April 2015 as a Good School, with many outstanding features, we are now embarking on the next stage of our journey to outstanding and are looking for exceptional and inspiring individuals to help us achieve this ambition.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to lead our ICT team, ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the Academy’s ICT Network. The successful candidate will also work in conjunction with Senior Leaders to formulate ICT strategies and long term ICT planning to meet both current and future needs.

 

The ideal candidate will therefore be an innovative and dynamic customer-focused individual with excellent network, problem solving, and communication skills. Suitable candidates will be customer-orientated, strong team players and motivated to relish in the challenge of working in a busy and dynamic school environment. A ‘can-do’ attitude is essential, and previous line management experience is desirable, as the role currently has responsibility for the line management of an ICT Technician, with plans to expand the department as the Academy grows.
