Hi All

So we where recently forced to update the Mac Server to Sierra from Yosemite but then when trying to change a setting in Workgroup Manager I found I couldn't see any preferences anymore. Just wondering if you know of a fix as I don't want to have to remember all the settings I have put in Workgroup Manager and transfer them over to Profile Manager (We have A LOT of settings).

Here's a screenshot:

I'd appreciate any kind of help! :) Thanks!!

WGM on Sierra? You hero :whoo:

Did you set the preferences on AD groups instead of OD groups? You'd need to change your authentication across to your domain rather than OD. The preferences may then show up against the AD group. As I haven't used WGM for a good while now I struggle to remember exactly.

We didn't want to update to Sierra, for some reason we had a power cut and next thing it reboots and is installing Sierra!

I can't even try this though as I can't transfer my preferences I can't see them to do anything with them so the problem still would persist :/

I think, if you're using the old Magic Triangle setup, that your Pupils group in OD contains your AD students groups, and the preferences are applied to that if you have adopted the standard setup. In which case, it's going to be a problem. Don't suppose you have a backup from before the update? Otherwise, I'd start getting to grips with PM now - the only issues may come with things like scripts that you may have used. It doesn't take that long to set up.
