antonponniah Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Teachers of one of the course is not showing up on the individual report, all the other course teachers are fine, by looking further I found out that particular course was setup after the census was done, I think this may be causing this, just wondering if anyone had this issue and if any workaround possible?
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 if the setup all looks fine, have you tried running validate memberships? 1
RootsSchImp Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Good call- if I remember right it's Tools, Academic management, update course memberships Often magically fixes this kind of problem
antonponniah Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 thank you both for the quick replies. updating course membership is the first thing I tried too, which is always a life saver.. but not this time.
RootsSchImp Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Have you checked that the staff name appears as the marksheet owner (sometimes SIMS doesn't recognise staff from nova) also that you don't have two similarly named courses eg. PE (gen)/PE (KS3)? 1
antonponniah Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) Yes, mark sheet shows the owner and the selected course is correct on the report template. One other thing I notice is, on the course manager, i can only see those classes in question when I put a past date than the default census date;for all the rest of the courses I can see all the classes with the default date selected. vikpaw Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Dates can be a pain, I'm not sure exactly how it works like this with courses, but with membership it will be defaulted to the start date, which will be the create date. You should be able to change the start date, and then the screen where you have orange bars you can manually alter them. This fixed many issues for me in the past, I'm not sure if you can do it in this instance. I have a horrible feeling that some start dates are locked to the create date and the dark grey section is a hard boundary beyond which you cannot change the bars. Sorry, not very direct instructions - look for the start date box / membership boxes and see if that helps. I don't think it's linked to the census date, but I'm sure i had issues where the courses needed to exist at an earlier date for stuff to work. 1
antonponniah Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 Thanks Vikpaw for your input, my colleague who edit this is off sick this week so won’t be able to test this for the time being (I only deal with Assessment Manager), I will come back to you once I tested this. Thanks again.
