Shadow_Walker Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 On some of our printers and scanners around school we keep getting an error on the touchscreens from papercut. The error is: "unable to connect. Failed to initialise device capabilities store Retrying... It keeps trying to reconnect but with no luck. Any ideas?

Passat1983ICTech Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 have check the cabling from the printer to the network port as well and check the setting on the printer
Shadow_Walker Posted April 26, 2017 Author Posted April 26, 2017 Yes checked that and all seems fine.
Jawloms Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Run a constant ping to the printer and see if it drops off at all? I had a similar sounding issue with my Sharp MFDs and it turned out that the port on the device was configured for 100mb rather than auto. Why this would cause drop off issues I have no idea, but it did and as soon as I changed it to Auto the connection problems went away.
