Whenever I try this pops up saying the administrators account has insufficient permissions:

I can't access the security section or any part of the console so a bit stumped. Can anyone offer some advice?

Managed to do the above and launch the 2012 console through the local SYSTEM account but still throws up the same error in the first post. Can't get into it at all :(

What account did you use to install it? As surely that account should have access.

Standard Admin account.

Check if you can access the SQL Database with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Under Security->Logins it should tell you who is able to access.

You're welcome. :)

Now that youre in you can add more users by go into SCCM to Administration -> Security -> Administrative Users and add in your Domain Admins... well the ones you want to allow access. ;)
