Hi all.

Just started my new role and wondered what you thought of the setup I have inherited. I have posted here for obvious reasons.

Users are using onedrive as primary storage.

Teachers are using one drive for a shared drive . They have a drive mapped to a server that is permanently logged In a user (lets say the user is called onedrive user) and syncs with one drive using the OneDrive client. I assume the thinking behind this is that it creates an offline copy and speeds up accessing files. Im just not sure this is best practise. Surely you are just better using local storage and offloading to the cloud for DR purposes or just using a third party tool to map directly to onedrive. Im not sure the onedrive client is the best option at enterprise level.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks
