Have been doing it in a similar way for a while, the only problem is that it now irritates me whenever I find a cable that hasn't been coiled correctly

 

We seem to have someone who coils cables up as tightly as they can then knots them ... I'll catch them one day!

Best I had was my wife found a vecro cable tie on a cable and asked what is this contraption?

I tried that with cat6 cable, didnt get very far as its not as flexible as the audio leads used in the video.

Yup... If you do AV for any length of time you get this beaten into you.
