Microsoft Surface UEFI

Hi All,

 

Some students have decided to set UEFI passwords on the surfaces meaning we are unable to image them over network as we cant change the boot order.

 

Has anyone seen a way to clear this besides taking the battery out which I would rather not do.

Set admin passwords before you give computers out.

 

Your options will probably be: ask Microsoft to clear them, or punish the people who set the passwords. You could say they stole the laptops in effect, and they need to return them in working order, or they'll be charged with replacement costs.

I agree, we always set ours before giving out devices - little amount of time to do and saves a lot of hassle in the long run!

Thank you, these were given out before my time. Passwords are now in place going forward
