ITGURU Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Remember you've got to factor in the cost of your time to manage the server, if you have it on site you'll be responsible for updates, backups etc. Time to manage? Ours ran on-site without even knowing it was there. no issues and backup just part of the normal daily backup.
sydborn Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Hi how did you set it up? I have installed a LAMP server with a webmin access and filezilla to upload wordpress or joomla but I can't change the default location of ' replace this file (located at /var/www/html/index.html) ' I had this issue of ' should replace this file (located at /var/www/html/index.html) ' any ideas please? Hosts? I use Ubuntu server edition as a LAMPS base with wordpress. Hosted on a reasonable spec VM (6GB, 4CPU) which is a little over spec for it's needs. Overall, other than the initial tuning (out of the box Apache settings were not beefy enough), It has been extremely reliable.
nathan Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 I prefer to run all ours externally on TSOHOST. They provide a great service and i guess it's one less attack surface to worry about on our network.
