Just in the process of upgrading my internet connection.

Going with smoothwall and the web filtering is all good.

Have BT leased line on a gb bearer.

My mx records currently point to my pervious isp so where do I get the information for my new connection?

If you are running your own mail server, you will need to change the MX record to point to your new ISP this information should be provided by BT Edited by djm968

In that case all you need to do is to find out a spare IP address you can use from BT and change the MX record from the old Ip to the new one + setup and port forwarding or other firewalling rules required.

You will need to ask BT to setup a reverse DNS record for your mail server, otherwise you will get a lot of rejected emails when you send out.
