dfe subject code already in use by workforce return

I know someone has posted already on this to no avail, but just in case...I am trying to edit the description of a club from Science Club to STEM Club. At some point, the subject code was set to "Other (not otherwise specified)". It seems that any subjects that have had the DfE subject code specified cannot be edited and gives the message "dfe subject code already in use by workforce return". I don't want to unnecessarily create more subject codes, so any advice on how to unlock it?

Looking back, the response from SIMS was

 

"Please apply On Demand Patch 21915.

 

Contact your local support unit for a copy of this patch. "

 

I was then able to make the changes, so it either worked or was coincidence!
