Scifigirl Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Has anyone heard Officially- i mean a statement directly from Capita- that Office 2010 will NOT be supported from Autumn (November) 2017? I have checked the Technical Road maps and it is mentioned that support is to be confirmed.. but we have been told by our support company that it will definitely not be supported and there will be "glitches". Thanks in Advance
PhilNeal Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I'll check for you but I would not expect everything to start going wrong. What this normally means is that we take it out of our test matrix not that we've coded things differently. 1
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Also, some Support teams provide schools with reports for various things, if they contain Macros then it may be that the support team has decided to stop supporting 2010 as I know the VB does change between versions as we have similar issues.
PhilNeal Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I've had confirmation back that we haven't made changes that would adversely affect use of 2010. Problems that affect use of 2010 won't get addressed however. 2
Greg Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Thanks Phil, from your answer above, are you able to clarify if this means Office 2010 won't be supported from the Autumn 2017 Release
GAdigital Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 If the issue was found to be office 2010 related i expect you would be asked to upgrade office to a newer supported version. Simply upgrade the machine that has an issue.. unlikely as it is to begin with.
