dcwhitworth Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Given that MS are saying Windows 10 will be the last version of Windows, what is the point of an OVS agreement anymore ? Just buy a load of Windows 10 licences in bulk and you're done as far as Windows goes, yes you still need to buy Office but that is likely to end up as a much cheaper cost than an annual OVS licence. Can someone point out what I'm missing here ?
3s-gtech Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Server licensing and CALs (or Azure CALs if it's going that way) Enterprise application licensing (or the Azure/O365 equivalent when they decide to start charging for things you could just do with) Software assurance (because you can't buy a PC with 10 Edu or Ent)
Arthur Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 In addition to what @3s-gtech mentioned you also wouldn't have any reimaging rights.
