drewp Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Does anyone have any information about how InTune for Education will need to be licenced? Will it be FTE count or per device?
vikpaw Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Does anyone have any information about how InTune for Education will need to be licenced? Will it be FTE count or per device? It's a per user licence, so should be FTE. If you've got an OVS subscription, you get 'student use benefits' for free.
zag Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Will be interesting to see if they have caught up with the chromebook capabilities from google education.
apearce Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 It's a per user licence, so should be FTE. If you've got an OVS subscription, you get 'student use benefits' for free. Or the license comes with life time of teh device
vikpaw Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Or the license comes with life time of the device Can you explain how that works? Combo of user / device...
ZeroHour Posted April 26, 2017 Author Posted April 26, 2017 If you have problems getting flash to load in chrome click the address bar 'i' and then find flash and "Allow" for the site as the popup asking for flash to run doesnt appear to show. 2
eejit Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Has anyone gotten a response to emails to Nicola? I feel like my question during the webinar was ignored, and my email seems to have been as well.
ZeroHour Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 Is this webinar available to view anywhere? We should be getting it next week hopefully to put online. 2
eejit Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 She responded to my email quite quickly Ok that is interesting, thanks. I'd asked if you could deploy Win32 programs or just windows store apps, as that is what it looked like from the console.
DJ-1701 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Ok that is interesting, thanks. I'd asked if you could deploy Win32 programs or just windows store apps, as that is what it looked like from the console. She did say that Win32 applications could be deployed during the presentation, as that was my main question as well. Like you, I haven't had a response to my e-mail to her yet, but I did send mine the day after, when I had time to think and formulate some questions.
eejit Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Right, I do seem to remember that, but it was said in such a way that made me doubt it. I got a feeling that the win32 stuff could be deployed via GPO etc., post install as we would now, but I may been wrong about that. Hopefully we'll get clarification somewhere.
Arthur Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) She did say that Win32 applications could be deployed during the presentation, as that was my main question as well. Hopefully we'll get clarification somewhere. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/deploy-use/add-apps-for-windows-pcs-in-microsoft-intune To install apps to PCs, they must be capable of being installed silently, with no user interaction. If this is not the case, the installation will fail. Edit. Here's a better screenshot. Edited May 1, 2017 by Arthur 1

Thanks as always @Arthur. Hmm, interesting, so no option for natively calling batch files, vbs or powershell scripts it seems.
vikpaw Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 If you have problems getting flash to load in chrome click the address bar 'i' and then find flash and "Allow" for the site as the popup asking for flash to run doesnt appear to show. No 'i', clicked on https info button, allowed popups and flash, but still no joy. No matter, I'll wait for the recording.

Bob_the_Goon Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Is a video available of this webinar? I didn't get a chance to watch it live.
DJ-1701 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Is a video available of this webinar? I didn't get a chance to watch it live. Not sure if it was recorded, but I think a few of us have asked if we could have the slides from the presenter (I know I have), but haven't heard anything back from them yet. Will obviously post them if I do.

DJ-1701 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Cheers! @DJ-1701 Well... I didn't hear anything back... don't suppose anyone else did regarding the slides?... But if you want to watch the webinar, can view here (35 minutes long). https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_cw4VGTZ-csQlJ3aGU1YUoxaUU/view 1
