password protected video hosting

We are involved in Eurasmus, and the group want to share videos between schools, but need assurances that they are being held securely.

Can anyone recommend a reliable place to hold videos that are password protected?

 

I was looking at CloudUp, but then found an option to view the videos without the password even though I had specified they were to be password protected, so that put me off.

You can do it with Office 365 Video. Create an account and give that account permission to view the video but not download.

J2E can do this, and is provided free to some schools. Nice product IME, even if the website portal is dated!

There are schools in 8 different countries who all need to be able to upload and view videos in a common secure area.

On a slight tangent, I'd like a similar system but one which can natively play back 360 degree video. (Basic idea is a cheap in house version of Iris Connect!). All ideas welcome.

360 degree video is (generally) a standard video file, the video data it holds just happens to be in (most often) equirectangular projection. You just need a video player that handles equirectangular footage - handily, you can now build your own with WebVR (see "day 2" for a simple example):

You just need to get the above viewer to work with a password (or whatever) autheticated source of video footage and away you go.
