Teacher of Computing and IT (CiT) - Cheltenham - Salary based on teaching pay-scale

Required for September 2017, Cheltenham College Preparatory School seeks to appoint a Teacher of Computing and IT (CiT). The post will be part time on a 0.5 basis.

 

The post involves teaching classes in from Years 5 to 8. The Prep School has been in a period of development, with a significant focus on academic standards and raising levels of attainment across the year groups.

 

Rated by ISI as ‘excellent in all areas’, The Prep has very high expectations of all staff and pupils. This is a unique opportunity to take part in our journey to influence the future of our pupils and make an impact on the provision of ICT and Computing across two teaching age ranges. College hopes to embed a very strong ICT and Computing curriculum in our Prep School with a view to passing this excellence into our teaching in Senior School in years to come. We believe that a strong academic foundation feeds the best academic curiosity and as such want to invest in our ‘computing’ and ‘ICT’ vision at an early age. We wish to develop a new position teaching Computing and IT (CiT) at the College Preparatory School to support this critical subject area.

 

A good First Degree in specialist areas of ICT/Computing or a closely related subject and a teaching qualification is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate excellent teaching skills and create a high quality learning environment.
