Two step authentication on Remote Desktop services

i was wondering if anyone could recommend a program or how to configure two step authentication on a remote desktop connection.

I suppose you could say the laptop is the second step if you set RDS so it only accepts connections from specific laptop groups and only if they are domain laptops and only if they have the certificate installed. This would obviously only work if they are connecting from a school or work laptop.

 

I have never setup the actual 2 step keys or cards so cant help in that department.
