Liam Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Struggling to achieve a domain join with a windows 10 unnatend answer file. I prestage devices and in windows 7 i specified computername to be %machinename% and everything was perfect. I believe this is ignore in Windows 10. My question is how to i get it to join the domain using my prestaged device setup? Cannot figure this one out. If anyone has a working unnatend file where i have to manually enter the computer name i dont mind doing that bit. Thanks
alfatec Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Can you post the contents of our unattend file here. Also what version of WAIK are you using?
LeMarchand Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 FQDN XXXXX Administrator FQDN I'm pretty sure I just used my W8.1 one with a couple of tweaks. The above at the end of the Specialize pass seems to join to the domain (but not name the machine). You probably ought to have the password not in plain text, though.
Matthew1985 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 This is mine. This bit is the same as we used for Windows 7. %machinename% true ABC USER GMT Standard Time Password Username Domain domain
Liam Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Scrapped it I'll use mdt instead. It's must easier anyway
