Projectors and byod?

Hi Everyone,

 

Were looking at implementing byod for students and teachers. We want to have a system where a reacher can walk into a room and connect to a projector with there own device.

We also want teachers to be able to use any device they want, Windows, iOS, android, chromeos, etc.

 

Is there a solution that can allow all devices to easily connect to a projector wirelessly?

Reflector 2 running on a PC works for us, but you'll probably have to have the BYOD devices and the PC on the same subnet.

 

#edit# I haven't tried Windows streaming, but you may need another tool like AirParrot.

We use airserver on the pc in the room for that. ios, chromeos and android can connect directly - windows devices need something like airparrot. (if the sender+target is wireless I'm fairly sure win10 can connect to win10 but not if either is on ethernet - this also gives interaction at the pc that affects the mobile device)

 

We do have a lot of epson projectors that can receive wireless input but it's not really used
