Hey everyone,

Our old mac with Configurator installed was dying, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to start from scratch on a new mac so I wiped the iPads and moved them over.

Everything has gone swimmingly except for one thing - installing Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. We have VPP licences for these, but when Configurator downloads the apps, it downloads the latest version which requires iOS 10. The iPad 2 will forever be stuck on iOS 9, so the install fails.

I tried grabbing older versions of the apps from the iTunes "Mobile Applications" folder on the old Configurator mac, but while I can install these with Configurator, it doesn't assign the VPP license to them, so trying to open the app asks you to sign into the iTunes Store.

Short of going through the iPads and installing the apps manually, one by one by one, I'm not sure how to approach this. Any ideas?

Thanks, Ed

Yeah, we had the same problem only our old Mac had died so we didn't even have the old copies of the apps!

I think that the apps only need you to sign in with the old ID once and should work after that, if that's any help?
