Hp 5740 Thin client - XIBO

Afternoon,

 

Anyone managed to get Xibo running on a Hp 5740 Thin client? Iv never had chance to play around with a Thin client so a little uneducated on how they work. I was under the impression they connected via remote desktop to a server. After some research i dont think its true.

 

I'm needing to run a screen and thinking about using a Hp 5740 Thin client with Xibo. Can i just install it and it will run fine or will i have to do some tuning with the storage etc?

This site here may help and give you an insight to how you could use the t5740 beyond its function as a thin client.

 

I've got one at home which I've managed to shoehorn in an SSD and 4GB of DDR3 RAM and have installed both Linux and Windows 10 (though the latter is a bit sluggish if you were to use it as a functioning desktop PC, however I'd think that the Xibo client would work okay.)
