Hi,

 

I have been asked to find a software that will allow staff to check the rota without having to be on site. Unfortunately the usual ways such as google drive, one drive etc etc are not allowed due to the company I work for and the information we handle. Does anyone have any software they use that I could look at or has any one used https://rotacloud.com/ before ? It looks good from what I can see but also costs money!

 

Just looking for some ideas. It would be great if it was free but when is anything good free these days!

 

Put this in education part as it is for a school.

If you can't trust google and microsoft with your data, why would you trust rotacloud, or your own ability to set up a secure server?

 

Create an online spreadsheet in google docs, no need for Google Drive etc to be installed.

its more of the fact we cant use them in case staff upload documents they want to take home. If we were using actual online software for the rota they would only be able to use it for the rota. Hopefully that makes sense. Google drive etc you can upload and share anything I need something that they will only use for the rota.

So you've blocked all the online storage/editor urls, including via https? Hope no one googles pastebin, etherpad, etc etc etc etc

 

Could create a google spreadsheet, then whitelist that one url.

Microsoft just launched a new module in Office 365 this week for rotas / staff management called Microsoft StaffHub it went GA on the 12th Jan. If you have O365 for other things worth seeing if that is included in your package perhaps
