Zezima Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I've added the domain_user to the local_administrator_group for a client. However I still can't change the proxy settings which are "greyed out", underneath it says "some settings are mnaged by your system administrator"... Not sure what else I can do besides give full local admin rights? I tried using a .reg file to disable/enable proxy but that isn't working.
DJ-1701 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 It sounds like the Domain User has a Group Policy Object on it controlling the setting. Would be worth running a RSoP to see what has locked it down. 1
Sagima Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 As it's controlled by group policy then it's that group policy you need to stop that user from reading. They'll be able to do what they like with it then. 1
Zezima Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Thanks. Rpos was blocked. but anyway I found the proxy GPO, removed it and now Is working. Thanks again!
