[Go4Schools] Run feed rule immediately

How do you run a feed immediately?

 

I've done this before and there are two methods - I can't recall either right now!

Both methods are somewhere in lock subjects I'm sure.

Got it. Well one method...

 

Manage > System > Feed Rules > manage locked subject/s > drill down to whatever it is you want to change > acknowledge warning that this change will revert when the next MIS import runs

I'm not sure there is another way; and the way you've just described can only apply to locked subjects.

 

I've always worked on the princuple that I need to wait overnight to see any changes.

It worked immediately without the subject being locked. The overnight change is configured to happen as well, it just helped to have the change happen now.

 

I went through both methods with Go support a while back. It might be on a ticket somewhere... but it was a complex call so might have been lost in the detail/ this advice was over the phone.

Ooh, found something new there! It looks like you can use that functionality to make a change "today" and set the feed rule to make it permanent overnight. Thanks.
