Hi guys.

I'm wondering if any of you have got TVs around your school to come out of standby on their own? We've got 6 TVs around the school which we have to turn on manually each morning. Anything to make our lives easier would be great! :)

Thank you!

Our LG TVs do (at 8am) but need a command within two hours or they turn off again (our junior tech changes the volume each morning to keep them on)

We used digital timer plugs to turn the power to the TV's off and on. You can set multiple schedules as well.

Does that work with taking them off standby? Not just turning them on at the wall.

I wasn't sure whether it would work before I brought the timers. I tried pulling the plug on one of our TV's whilst it was on and displaying a channel, then replaced the plug and the TV resumed to where it left off displaying the channel again. Assuming that is all the timer will do (kill the power) I knew it work. Other TV's may revert back to standby with this same procedure, so maybe worth a test.

Yup, You can auto power-on LG TV's, but they will switch off after 2 hours if left. Apparently there's a service menu where you can disable this, but I was unable to get to this on our screens here.
