Sanyo PLC XE-40 Projector refusing to turn on

I am having an issue with a projector whereby it will turn on for around 3 seconds then it shuts off, it doesnt do the cooling cycle, it just turns off and the warning light comes on.

My initial thought was thermal reset but this hasn't been tripped.

my only other ideas are

A problem with the PSU

A problem with the lamp drive unit

A problem with the circuit traces or connections

 

i have tried 3 brand new bulbs also so this isn't the issue.

 

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
