Cisco Switch disabling POE to power another switch. Help!!

Hi,

 

I have an issue. My Cisco switch is currently powering two other non cisco managed switches.

 

They have been working fine for over a year now, until now where I have just reconfigured my Cisco 2960s. The Cisco 2960s powers up my two non cisco switches and then after a few moments, it then drops all power to them both and lights up the port orange from yellow. If this is a configuration issue that the cisco switch just does not like, then I'm stuffed as I need to get onto these two small switches in order to configure them. Any ideas?

 

I have a trunk going to both of the small switches with only 3 VLANs going to them.

So what did you change? And does reverting the change fix the issue?

 

What else does it power?

What's the power draw on the switch at boot, when everything connected will pull significantly (usually 2-3 times what it needs normally) more than they will once they've booted and settled?

The only difference in configuration is that before, it used to just send a static access VLAN. Now it sends a trunk to that switch that is powered over Ethernet.

Have you configured trunking on the other non Cisco switch?

Thats why then. On one end they are are configured at a trunk and on the other an access port. They must match before they will connect.
