rama1712 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 We are about to decommission our old server that has Symantec 12 for our network running on and it Is going onto a nice new VM 2012r2 How best am I to do this, we do not want to redo our clients 500+ Is there a way of mirgrating to a new server and then update the symlink.xml and then turn off the old server???
john Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Yep new SEPM install, then you can push a new SyLink to the clietns from it however its never 100% perfect so you will probably get 80-90% ok and the last 10-20% will need manual intervention. Version 14 has been recently released so you may want to consider version upgrade at the same time and just push an entire new package from your console if you are happy the SEP14 does what you need and has no side effects. 1
