just_david Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Has anyone here ever paid for a future learn certificate? I've just completed one of their modules. It was pretty good and informative - if only for putting what I already knew into practice better. But would any of you pay for one of their certificates, are they well known enough that if someone came in with one on their CV it'd actually be worth something? Its about £80 but as I'm changing job soon I can't pass it off on a training budget ^^
speckytecky Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 I'd say yes it is. I completed the Cyber security course with a pass rate of 93% and wee I a heap younger than I am I'd defo be buying a certificate to add to my qualifications. Being an OU certificate and current it's worth the £60 or so they are charging in my opinion and they have to try and reimburse their costs from somewhere upon the line.
sllorep Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I also did the Cyber Security course and purchased the certificate, but I forgot to do anything with it (like show it to the line manager, or try to get some reimbursement form the training budget)... so if you do get one, make sure you do something with it!! Mine did take a while to come through the post though.
