Veritas Backup Exec 2015 Media Set Setup

Hi all,

 

Tomorrow I am going to be replacing Backup Exec 2010 with 2015. With 2010 I have had issues with the media sets not overwriting or appending as it keeps asking for over-writable media. It got to a point that I have had to format the hard drive (we backup to 2TB Hard drives) each time, so that it would backup.

 

Our backup procedure is:

Daily (Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs), weekly/fortnightly (Friday Week 1, Week 2) and termly - full backups running at 11pm.

 

How should the media set be setup?

 

Any advice on this or just in general would be appreciated.
